Our clinic is one of Hungary’s greatest and admitted implantation centre of health tourism. Our dentists and technicians gave back their teeth to thousands of satisfied patients of Western Europe.

Loss of natural teeth - the reasons are as diverse as human beings - causes considerable restrictions in your daily life, for instance enjoying dinner or a nice social evening, to tell a person that you feel affectionate - with a smile - to be sure to be in the centre of life.

What are dental implants?
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root. Where normally the own root gives the tooth stability, the new "root" is inserted directly into the jaw bone, i.e. implanted. This worthwhile and secure alternative has been accepted by modern dentistry for many years and has more than proved its value and benefits.
Implants are made of titanium and are therefore readily accepted by the body.

In which cases are dental implants recommended? Or when do implants make sense?

• Single tooth restoration. Traditional dentures would require the trimming of healthy neighbouring teeth for the artificial crown. Dental implants save the adjacent natural teeth.

• For the replacing of several missing tooth next to each other, implantation is the best solution. Final fixed replacement could be realized even if all teeth are missing.
Implants lay the foundation for fixed bridges or single crowns so that removable replacements can be avoided.

• Fixing the full detachable denture. The removing and replacing of the denture is one simple move, however, it stays still during eating and talking. Greater chewing strength and very comfortable to wear.

• Congenitally missing teeth. After bone growth has been completed, and following orthodontic treatment, single-tooth implants can be positioned without damaging adjacent teeth.

• Implants prevent bone loss and gum recession following tooth loss

What are the requirements?
Implants can be inserted at any age once bone growth has been completed. For the successful insertion of an implant, it is important that wounds can heal normally, and you should be in good general health. The precondition of the insertion of implantation is the proper amount of bone. In case it is not available, bone augmentation is needed. Whether you are able to that intervention it is the duty of our specialist to reveal during check-up, even in London consultation, the treatment plan is made depending on this.

What happens during implantation?
The insertion of an implant does not require hospitalization. It is performed under local anaesthesia and is therefore free of pain.
The implantation ideally could be carried out in 2 visits. In some cases these are preceded by bone augmentation, which means one extra visit. implantation_firs_step

1. visit (1-5 days required):
At the site chosen for implantation, the mucous membrane is moved aside and the implant position is prepared step by step to the individually required depth and width. After the implant has been inserted, the gum is sewn back into place and cooled to prevent excessive swelling. Then the healing phase begins, during which time there is no load on the implant.

The healing phase lasts an average of two to six months for the lower jaw and four months for the upper jaw. During this transitory time you will be provided with a temporary tooth replacement. In exceptional cases the implant can be loaded earlier, although it is rarely loaded immediately.

2. visit (2-7 days required):
The making of the superstructure (crowns, bridges, dentures) and its joining to the implantation.

Our clinic works with several implantation brands and technologies
Two of the most frequently applied are:
• Oraltronics system
• Camlog system

Which conditions and risks should be considered?
The optimal care of your own teeth should be an important goal for your health. Dental implantation requires not only healthy bone of sufficient quantity, but also excellent oral hygiene. A pre-check-up of your physician or internist - especially with regard to common health problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes etc. - and regular recall "post-op" check-ups after the implantation and control of the occlusion, i.e. the bite position of your teeth in both jaws, are recommended.
